Intensifying political dialogue with Kuwait

Belgrade, 3 July 2017

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait Khalid Suleyman Al Jalal confirmed today the traditionally close and friendly relations of the two countries and expressed readiness for their further improvement.

The officials highlighted the need to intensify political dialogue as well as to strengthen economic and investment cooperation.

Al Jaralah reported the willingness of the Kuwait Foreign Minister Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Sabah to meet with Dacic.

Dacic stresed that Serbia supports reaching a solution through dialogue, welcoming the mediation role of the Kuwaiti Emir in order to overcome this crisis. Al Jarala is in Belgrade as part of bilateral political consultations between the two ministries, hosted by State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nemanja Stevanovic.
