Speaking at a press conference after meeting with Belgian Foreign Minister Didier Reynders, Dacic underlined that the future government, which will be formed by the end of the week, will retain political goals such as building a modern society, European integration, regional peace and stability, as well as reforms in society.
He emphasised that our country wants to be an exporter of regional peace and stability, but also of European values that we want to be applied in our country for the sake of prosperity of the citizens and the future of Serbia and the entire region.
Dacic assessed that the bilateral relations between Serbia and Belgium are good, but that they could be better, and recalled that Belgium is one of the countries with which we have long diplomatic relations, and that 130 years of these relations were marked last year.
He told the Belgian Foreign Minister that the Serbian government will be formed very quickly, and that the political goals remain the same, and that there is plenty of room for cooperation between the two countries.
Dacic pointed out that trade exchange reached a record level last year of €560 million, which is an increase of 20% compared to 2015.
Reynders expressed wish for a further strengthening of relations between the two countries and added that the investment of company Delhaize was an efficient investment in Serbia.
He underlined that Belgium supports the reforms process in Serbia, not only for the sake of EU accession, but also because citizens of Serbia need it.
