Traditional closeness with Congo confirmed

Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic received today Minister of Justice of the Democratic Republic of the Congo Alexis Thambwe Mwamba, who will attend the inauguration ceremony of President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic.
Dacic said that the arrival of the representative of the Congo is a confirmation of the traditional closeness and respect between the two countries.
He pointed to the importance which Serbia attaches to friendly relations with the Democratic Republic of the Congo and expressed gratitude for Congo's consistent support to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia and non-recognition of the unilaterally proclaimed independence of Kosovo.
The two officials also expressed readiness for further promotion of cooperation in all areas of common interest.
