Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic welcomed today at Belgrade airport President of Croatia Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic, who will attend the inauguration of President of the Republic Aleksandar Vucic.
Grabar-Kitarovic was greeted with state honours, with a red carpet and the guard.
This is the first arrival of Croatian President Grabar-Kitarovic to Belgrade, and the second to Serbia since taking office in February 2015.
Ambassador of Croatia to Serbia Gordan Markotic was also present at the welcome.
Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic will have a bilateral meeting with President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic prior to the ceremony.
Mihajlovic and Grabar-Kitarovic estimated that Serbia and Croatia, as a member of the EU, should have good political and economic relations and should work together on the political stability of the region.
Mihajlovic also presented a gift to the Croatian President with motifs from Serbian culture and tradition.
