Dacic sends condolences over death of Helmut Kohl

Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic has sent a telegram of condolences to German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel over the death of former German chancellor Helmut Kohl.

"On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and in my own name, I extend to you my sincere condolences over the passing of former German chancellor Helmut Kohl, one of the greatest European leaders of the second half of the twentieth century.
Germany will remember him as the man who united Germany, but also as a visionary who was the initiator of the introduction of the single European currency. The world will remember him as the man who laid the foundations for the emergence of the European Union, " reads the telegram of Dacic.
