Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic and Bundestag President Norbert Lammert agreed today that bilateral relations of the two countries are very good and that they are marked by intensive cooperation in all fields and regular dialogue at high level.
They pointed to the commitment to further strengthen all forms of cooperation, which is helped by a more versatile and deeper cooperation between the two parliaments.
An important element in relations between the two countries is economic cooperation, which is very good, with the potential for further development and the tendency of growth of foreign trade.
Dacic expressed gratitude for the support and help of Germany in the process of European integration of Serbia, and expressed the hope that Germany will continue with this policy consistently.
Lammert underlined that bilateral relations with Serbia are of great importance for Germany, and highlighted the importance of reforms in the rule of law, institutions and independent judiciary for Serbia's progress towards the European Union.
