Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic met today on the sidelines of the International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov.

The two officials expressed satisfaction over the outstanding relations between the two countries and two peoples in all fields.
Dacic pointed out that Russia is one of the most important strategic partners of Serbia and that Belgrade is grateful to Moscow for support in the international organisations on the issue of Kosovo.
He also recalled that yesterday, at the
opening of the St. Petersburg forum, he underlined that friends remain friends and that our country will not impose sanctions on Russia.
Dacic voiced hope that Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and Minister Lavrov will visit Serbia soon.
The Russian Foreign Minister confirmed that Medvedev plans to come to Serbia, and that he himself will visit our country in the foreseeable future, and expressed gratitude to Dacic on the positions he had presented at the forum and the official position of Belgrade.
Lavrov announced that Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin will visit Serbia on 5 June.
