Serbia interested in economic cooperation with everyone in world

Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic said today in St. Petersburg that our country attaches great importance to economic cooperation with all world's major stakeholders.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the XXI International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg, Dacic said that this forum is held at a very important moment, when the most important world economy shows tendencies of economic growth and recovery after the global economic crisis.
Our task is to encourage the continuation of this process by making concrete agreements at the highest level, which will inevitably contribute to smaller states achieve better results in their national economies, he said.
The Acting Prime Minister said that the political and economic stability in many regions of the world greatly depends from the economic growth, stability and success of large and rich world economies, such as Russia, the USA, China, Germany, India and the like.
The Republic of Serbia attaches great importance to economic cooperation with the world's major players and we are very interested in a strong presence of foreign companies and foreign capital in the Serbian market, he stressed and added that Serbia is one of the few countries that have free trade agreements with Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan on the one side and with the EU, Turkey, CEFTA and EFTA countries on the other.
It is no secret, Dacic said, that the Russian Federation represents a strategic political, economic, and one of the leading foreign trade partners of Serbia, as well as one of the leading foreign investors in the Serbian economy.
Serbia is interested in the continuation of the positive trend and wants to intensify with Russia the cooperation in the energy sector, to increase the volume of trade exchange and expand the list of goods that are traded, to complete the old and begin new infrastructure projects, the Acting Prime Minister concluded.
