Improving economic cooperation with Russia

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic met with Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev at the Summit of the Organization for the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) in Istanbul.

In a very friendly conversation, the two officials expressed satisfaction over outstanding relations between the two countries and two peoples in all fields.
Dacic expressed gratitude to the Russian Federation for the support it provides to Serbia at the international level regarding Kosovo-Metohija.
Medvedev expressed the wish for further development of economic cooperation between the two countries, and stressed the importance of Serbia's participation in the St. Petersburg Forum on 1-2 June.
Dacic reiterated his invitation to Medvedev to visit Serbia after the election of the new government, which he accepted with satisfaction, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
