Serbia against politicization of UNESCO

First Deputy Prime Minster and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic met today with Egyptian candidate for Director General of UNESCO Moushira Khattab.

During the meeting, Dacic pointed to the priorities of Serbia in cooperation with this organisation and to the active work of our country within the UNESCO Executive Council of which Serbia is a member in the period from 2015 to 2019.
Also, the meeting was an opportunity to highlight Serbia’s active engagement against the politicization of the work of UNESCO.
Khattab presented priorities of her programme in case she is elected to the position of Director General of this important organisation, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
