First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic said today that the withdrawal of Serbian Ambassador to France for consultations and three months of non-participation in conferences in France is the measure by which Serbia has shown its opposition with the decision of the French court to Ramush Haradinaj's release.

After laying a wreath at the monument to Dimitrije Tucovic at the New Cemetery on he occasion of International Labour Day, Dacic said that Serbia is a country that respects itself and that it is our obligation to the victims that we cannot silently accept the decision of the French court.
We could have stopped the diplomatic relations, withdraw our ambassador and expel their, but we opted for this measure and I think it was appropriate, he said.
The First Deputy Prime Minister added that France did not have to acquit Haradinaj, bu could have brought proceedings against him.
