First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway Borge Brende stated last night during a meeting in Oslo that the stability of the Western Balkans is essential for the development of all countries in the region but also the stability of the entire European continent.

They agreed that the Republic of Serbia is the most powerful lever for the preservation of peace and prosperity in our region.
Norway stressed its full support to the process of EU integration of the Western Balkans, and expects a substantial commitment to the reform process and constructive cooperation of all countries in the region.
Also, Norway is committed to a clearly defined and active commitment to the EU enlargement policy in the Western Balkans.
Brende stressed that the talks in Norway confirm the commitment to cooperation with the region of the Western Balkans, and pointed out that Norway sees Serbia as a "partners plus" in the Western Balkans, a statement the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reads.
