Great opportunities for boosting economic cooperation with Austria

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic spoke today with President of the Austrian Freedom Party Heinz-Christian Strache about bilateral relations between the two countries, with special emphasis on the possibilities for strengthening economic cooperation.

The officials noted that the Serbian and Austrian peoples are linked in many ways and that Austria has a large Serbian community.
Strache stressed that the Austrian Freedom Party supports the territorial integrity of Serbia and advocates Serbia’s full integration into the European Union.
He said that without Serbia and the Serbs there is no peace in this region. Concrete possibilities for strengthening economic cooperation, regional security and the migrant crisis faced by both countries were discussed at today’s meeting.
Today's meeting was attended by Deputy Mayor of Vienna Johann Gudenus.
