First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic received new Ambassador of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea Ri Pyong Du, who delivered today accreditation letters to President of Serbia Tomislav Nikolic.
Ri Pyong Du thus officially assumed the office of ambassador on non-residential basis accredited from Bucharest.
During the meeting, Dacic expressed gratitude for the principled position of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea regarding the issue of Kosovo-Metohija.
Commenting the situation on the Korean Peninsula, he underlined that Serbia advocates the easing of tensions and finding a diplomatic solution through negotiations of the parties in dialogue, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
