Great importance of construction of Surcin–Obrenovac motorway section

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic talked today with Executive Director of Chinese company "China Communications Construction Company Ltd." Lu Shan about projects which this company has in Serbia.
The meeting focused on the motorway section from Surcin to Obrenovac, where the said company is the main contractor, and on which the beginning of works will be officially marked today.
Noting that this day is very important for Serbia, Mihajlovic said that works on Corridor 11, on the section from Surcin to Obrenovac, are starting today, as it was planned and voiced hope that the section will be completed in a timely manner.
Shan praised Minister Mihajlovic and her team and said that owing to that team the works on this section started on time.
This project is a great opportunity for us as a leading company in our country. The eyes of the presidents and prime ministers of both countries are pointed at this important project, he underlined.
Shan promised that the Chinese company will complete the Surcin-Obrenovac section within deadline, and recalled that President of China Xi Jinping was on a visit to Serbia less than a year ago, but that a lot has been done since then.
