Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic met today with Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Li Manchang to discuss concrete steps to increase the number of Chinese tourists in Serbia.
Ambassador Mancang said he expects introducing direct air link between the two countries this year, which, together with the abolition of visas for Chinese citizens is the most important step in the direction of a significant increase in the number of tourists from China in Serbia.
Mancang said that a Chinese state television crew will soon visit Serbia to shoot a series of tourist potentials of our country.
Ljajic and Mancang agreed to organise a meeting in Belgrade with the relevant ministers of Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Macedonia about a joint appearance of the region on the tourism market of China, according to a statement from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications.
