Ljajic is on an official visit to Podgorica at the invitation of Montenegrin Minister of Sustainable Development and Tourism Pavle Radulovic.
During his talks with Prime Minister Markovic, the possibilities for joint participation on the markets of the third countries were discussed, especially in the field of tourism.
He said that Montenegro is a very important market for Serbia from the economic point of view, because our country has trade exchange of more than €700 million with Montenegro.
The goal is to achieve the trade exchange level of 2008, when it exceeded €1 billion, Ljajic stated.
In order to achieve this, it is necessary to improve the road and railway infrastructure, the Serbian Deputy Prime Minister said and added that in this regard Serbia and Montenegro can act together before the EU because the infrastructure is a prerequisite for a much bigger trade exchange.
Ljajic said that there is a concrete plan of cooperation of the chambers of commerce of Serbia and Montenegro, as well as the cooperation of eight tourist agencies which should present joint tourist products with the support of relevant ministries.
