Ambassador Scott congratulated Mihajlovic on the good results achieved in 2016, especially in the areas of construction permits, and stressed that the US will continue to support reforms implemented by Serbia.
Mihajlovic pointed out that accelerated construction of motorways will be continued in 2017, as well as modernisation of railways.
In addition to completing the construction of the road Corridor 10, the modernisation of railway Corridor 10 is also very important for us. It includes not only the modernisation of railways, but also more efficient procedures and shorter waiting times of trains at border crossings, on which we are already working with all our neighbours, Mihajlovic said.
Mihajlovc and Scott talked about the next steps in the project of Nis-Merdare-Pristina motorway and plans for the construction of the Morava corridor.
Mihajlovic said that other priorities in 2017 are the reform of the cadastre and work on the further progress of Serbia on the Doing Business list of the World Bank, according to a statement from the Office of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure.
