Speaking at a press conference held after the meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq Ibrahim Al Jafaari, he said that he and his Iraqi counterpart today signed two documents.
These are the Agreement between the governments of Serbia and Iraq on mutual abolition of visas for holders of diplomatic and official passports, as well as the Memorandum of understanding on the establishment of political communication on matters of mutual interest.
Dacic explained that such consultations may be on the political, but also on economic and security issues, and announced that they will work on the complete abolition of visas for citizens of both countries.
He recalled that Serbia and Iraq have an interest in developing relations, which should be comprehensive, from the economy and opening up opportunities for investment, military and defence industry, the system of education, and that Serbia attaches great importance to the development of good relations with Iraq .
Al Jafaari said that the talks with Dacic concerned the friendly relations of interest to both countries, and conveyed appreciation to Serbia for its support to Iraq in the fight against terrorism.
