Responsible, balanced policy of Serbia leads to peace in region

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic said that Serbia remains committed to protecting its sovereignty and territorial integrity, continuing the process of talks with the EU, developing further the friendly relations with the leading actors in international politics and preserving regional peace and stability and good-neighbourly relations.

In an introductory lecture to the new generation of the Diplomatic Academy students, Dacic said that the stability and development of countries in the modern world depend on the level of integration in different political, economic and military-political alliances.
Cooperation with other countries and international organisations, he said, not only increases the political, economic and military power of a country, but also provides an optimal preventive reaction.
Serbia is deeply committed to the development of democratic values, respect for human and minority rights and opposes any kind of discrimination. We are fully determined to resolve all disputes by peaceful means and dialogue is used as a means of cooperation and conciliation.
He said that with a responsible and balanced policy, the Republic of Serbia is making every effort to preserve peace in the region. Only a stable environment can be a guarantor of economic development and progress.
