This regional process was launched in Berlin in 2014 and it brings together prime ministers and foreign ministers of the Western Balkan six, with the main goal of approaching them to the EU and to have the Western Balkans closer to mutual political and economic cooperation, with emphasis on various infrastructure projects.
Italy, as a connoisseur of the situation in the region and one of the biggest investors, continues with the ambitious programme, which in addition to existing ones, introduces new elements, such as strengthening the position of small and medium enterprises through sustainable attracting of capital, but also through strengthening cooperation in the fight against corruption.
Dacic reiterated that Serbia will, for its part, continue to be a constructive partner in the Berlin Process, and will very actively cooperate with Rome in all aspects of this format.
He presented the priorities of regional policy in terms of the so-called "linking agenda", i.e., infrastructure projects in the transport and energy sectors, as well as connecting young people through cooperation in newly established Regional Youth Cooperation Office.
Also, the First Deputy Prime Minister called for the implementation of projects that are currently realistic, taking into account the entire financial structure.
Dacic said that the Berlin Process is a tool to strengthen the support and trust so that the process of European integration can go on smoothly, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
