Upward trend of relations with China

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic and Vice President of the People's Republic of China Li Yuanchao agreed today that bilateral relations between the two countries are recording continuous growth in all areas with a high degree of trust and mutual support.

During his meeting with Dacic, in the continuation of his official visit to the People's Republic of China, Li Yuanchao spoke about the development goals and reform agenda of that country.
The importance of synergy between the “Belt and Road” initiative and the national development strategy of Serbia was confirmed, as demonstrated by joint project - a bridge on the Danube river, section of the E 763 motorway, as well as cross-border project of modernisation of the Belgrade-Budapest railway and privatisation of Zelezara Smederevo.
The Vice President of the People's Republic of China pointed out that he has good memories of his first visit to Serbia more than thirty years ago, and Dacic invited him to visit Serbia again, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
