Serbia commended for restoring property to victims of Holocaust

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic said today during the talks with a delegation of the World Jewish Restitution Organisation that the relevant state authorities will do everything so that the restitution of Jewish property is successfully implemented.

On this occasion, Dacic stressed that the Serbian government attaches great importance to this issue.
Both sides ascertained the importance of the adoption in February this year of the Law on elimination of consequences of the seizure of property of Holocaust victims who do not have living legal heirs, as well as its efficient and transparent implementation.
Members of the delegation pointed out that Serbia is a role model to other countries when it comes to the issue of property restitution to victims of the Holocaust, and praised all the efforts that have been taken in this regard to date.
