Germany donates patrol vehicles to Border Police Directorate

Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic and German Ambassador to Serbia Axel Dittmann today signed a protocol on handover of patrol vehicles, donated to the Border Police Directorate by Federal Ministry of the Interior of Germany.
Stefanovic said after signing the document that four donated vehicles will be sent to the border crossing with Bulgaria, which will contribute to raising the capacity of the border police in guarding the state border.
He also announced a donation of Germany to the Serbian Criminal Police in the amount of €80,000 earmarked for the purchase of vehicles, cameras and computers.
The Deputy Prime Minister expressing his gratitude to Germany and Dittmann for the valuable donation and pointed out that the good cooperation between police of the two countries will be continued, especially in the field of combating organised crime.
Dittmann said that the Federal Republic of Germany supports Serbia and pointed out that Serbia acted very responsibly in solving the problems of migrant crisis.
