It gives me great satisfaction that in recent months Belgrade is the centre of the most important activities of the Organisation for Black Sea Economic Cooperation and its related bodies, he said at the opening.
The Organisation of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation is a complex international organisation that covers many economic and social spheres of our countries. However, all this complexity is aimed towards consolidation of peace, stability and security, for the common good of the Black Sea region.
He listed the priorities of the Organisation of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation: improvement of economic cooperation between the member states, with special emphasis on trade and tourism; a special segment is dedicated to traffic; promotion of cooperation with other international organisations and initiatives, particularly the EU and the UN; and reform of the organisation with the aim of achieving sustainable project orientation, economy and functionality.
I sincerely hope that we have succeeded in managing the tasks that we have set up on 1 July 2016, when we took over the presidency, taking into account the complexity of the political situation in the Black Sea region, respecting all member states, without neglecting their differences and focusing on what we have in common – a desire for economic, cultural and sociological prosperity and strengthening cooperation, he said.
I would like to remind you that next year marks 25 years since the founding of the Organisation and the Republic of Serbia is ready to conveniently mark this important anniversary, Dacic concluded.
