Dacic holds 28 bilateral meetings within Francophonie Summit

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic spoke during the Summit of the Francophonie with a number of presidents, prime ministers and foreign ministers of the Member States, as well as with the Secretary General of the Francophonie Michaelle Jean, and other high officials of this organisation.

Of particular importance were the meetings with President of France Francois Hollande, President of Vietnam Tran Dai Quang, as well as the presidents of the Swiss Confederation, the Seychelles, Comoros and the Central African Republic.
Dacic also met with the prime ministers of Canada, Mauritius and the Deputy President of Egypt.
At the ministerial level, he had meetings with foreign ministers of Rwanda, Haiti, Mali, Congo and Algeria.
Dacic presented the Order to the President of Madagascar awarded to him by the President of Serbia Tomislav Nikolic.
In all the meetings, officials highlighted the need to intensify contacts and communication and the need for frequent exchange of visits at high and highest levels.
They also discussed issues of bilateral political and economic cooperation with certain countries the conditions for visa liberalisation.
The issue of the unilaterally proclaimed independence of Kosovo has been thoroughly discussed with all states that have not recognised it.
During the Francophonie Summit in Antananarivo, Dacic had 28 bilateral meetings with heads of state, prime ministers, foreign ministers and senior representatives of the member states of the Francophonie, which significantly contributes to the affirmation of Serbia's foreign policy, especially among French-speaking countries.
