The summit will gather delegations of 80 member countries and observers, and the aim of participation of Dacic is to prevent new recognitions of Kosovo's independence, since the arrival of Hashim Thaci to the summit is also expected.
The Republic of Madagascar has not recognised the unilaterally proclaimed independence of Kosovo.
Dacic will meet during the summit with senior officials of the Francophonie, Secretary General Michaelle Jean and other officials of the organisation.
In addition, he will have talks with heads of delegations of a number of member countries and observers of the Francophonie on the sidelines of the summit, which make up one third of the UN member states from all continents.
French President Francois Hollande will also participate in the summit.
The countries of the Francophonie are the countries that use French as the national and official language, the language of international communication and as a working language.
Serbia was granted observer status in the Francophonie Summit in Bucharest in 2006 and this year it marks ten years of successful cooperation, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
