Ljajic pointed out that this will be a place where Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina will present their economic and tourism potential.
He said after a meeting in Istanbul with Turkish Minister of Economy Nihat Zeybekci and Minister for Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia-Herzegovina Mirko Sarovic that the three parties agreed that Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina jointly define an infrastructure project which Turkey would support.
Ljajic added that Serbia is working intensively on the modification of the agreement on free trade and wants to see as many types of goods to be on duty free regime in order to maximize the overall trade.
He recalled that last year was a record year in terms of trade between Serbia and Turkey, with more than €745 million, while in the first eight months of this year it has increased by 11%, which means that the exchange will be approximately €900 million.
Therefore, he underlined, we are approaching the goal that we have defined two years ago and that is that the volume of trade reaches €1 billion.
Ljajic, Zeybekci and Sarovic will open today a joint commercial and tourist Office of Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina in Istanbul, and the holding of a business forum of Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Turkey is also planned.
