First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic announced today the abolition of visas for citizens of Serbia and China in early 2017, noting that this is quite a realistic target.

Speaking at a press conference after a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of Namibia Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, he explained that now the Chinese government is expected to issue an approval to the text of the agreement, after which the prime ministers of the two countries should sign the document, probably at the summit of China and 16 countries of central and eastern Europe in Riga in early November.
The First Deputy Prime Minister added that this means that everyone will have the right to travel without a visa for 30 days after the agreement is ratified.
Speaking on the opening of air line between Belgrade and Beijing or Shanghai, he said that the Chinese airline will have a huge interest in it, and it would be very useful in political and in economic terms.
