Dacic attended the ceremony "Protection of the culture of memory of common victims of the Second World War", which is being held on the occasion of opening the first segment of the exhibition of the Serbian Academic Diaspora "The truth about Jasenovac", which will be shown in New York in early 2017, and on the occasion of signing a memorandum of cooperation of the Serbian and Jewish academic communities on the preservation of culture of remembrance of the victims of the Second World War.
On this occasion, Dacic said that the duty of all is to do everything so that crimes are never forgotten so that they should not be repeated, especially in an era when crimes are not only denied, but also justified.
Dacic announced the signing of historic memoranda of understanding between the Andric Institute and the Institute for Holocaust from Tel Aviv, the Jasenovac Institute from New York, the Institute of Comparative Law and the Ethnographic Institute of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts.
The First Deputy Prime Minister also said that groups and departments for the study of the Holocaust and genocide in Yugoslavia from 1941 to 1945 will be opened.
In relation with this, international conferences on this matter will take place in Belgrade and Andricgrad, starting from next year.
