First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic and new Romanian Ambassador to Serbia Oana Cristina Popa agreed today that relations between the two countries are traditionally good and expressed the desire that they continue to improve.

At the meeting, both sides expressed a desire to continue the political dialogue and the strengthening of cooperation in all fields of mutual interest.
Dacic conveyed his gratitude to Romania for its principled support to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country and the consistency in terms of non-recognition of the unilaterally proclaimed independence of Kosovo-Metohija.
They also confirmed readiness to resolve all issues through open political dialogue.
