The meeting focused on the financing of the modernisation of Nis-Dimitrovgrad railway, construction of Nis-Pristina-Merdare motorway, as well as other projects in Serbia in the field of transport.
In that sense, they discussed the loan from the European Investment Bank (EIB) in the financing of modernisation of Nis-Dimitrovgrad railway, to be financed also from grants and partly from the budget of the Republic of Serbia.
They announced cooperation on the construction of the motorway section from Nis to Merdare, the design project for which is expected to be completed during 2017.
Mihajlovic informed Negre of the schedule of implementation of all projects financed by the EIB in the railway and road infrastructure, as well as on the pace of withdrawal of tranches of loans granted.
She announced that the Serbian government will be more active in order to implement the pace of the projects, according to a statement from the Office of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure.
