Cooperation with UN on prevention of family, partner abuse

Deputy Prime Minister and President of the Coordination Body for Gender Equality Zorana Mihajlovic and UN Resident Coordinator in Serbia Irena Vojackova-Sollorano today signed an agreement on cooperation in the prevention of domestic and partner violence and violence against children.

Mihajlovic said at a press conference, which was preceded by the signing of the project document entitled "Integrated Response to Violence Against Women and Girls", that this agreement will have, above all, preventive character.
Family and partner violence is no longer only a question of an individual or of a government, it is a social and economic problem against which we must all work together, she underlined.
Vojackova-Sollorano stated that this project will enable the continuation of cooperation between the UN and the Coordinating Body for Gender Equality in the prevention of violence against women, which is ubiquitous.
