Dacic at informal meeting of EU foreign ministers in Bratislava

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic will take part tomorrow in Bratislava at the informal meeting of EU foreign ministers and ministers of candidate countries.

The topics of the meeting will be the fight against terrorism and the prevention of radicalisation.

The meeting will be preceded by a working dinner of foreign ministers of EU and candidate countries.

Dacic will take advantage of the meeting to emphasise Serbia's commitment to the fight against terrorism and extremism and will stress that Serbia is firmly resolved to become a full member of the EU and remains a committed and reliable partner of the EU in the fight against the threats the modern European order faces.

The meeting will be a good opportunity to discuss the current situation in the region, and Dacic will emphasise the importance of regional cooperation and reiterate the strong commitment of Serbia for an honest and open dialogue with regional partners on all current issues.

The meeting is organised twice a year and is a good opportunity for an exchange of views of foreign ministers of member states and candidate countries on the current issues in the EU and its neighbours, as well as the opportunity to hold a series of bilateral meetings, according to a statement by the Ministry Foreign Affairs.
