Italy sees Serbia’s future in EU

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic received today Italian Ambassador to Serbia Giuseppe Manzo, who presented him with a letter of congratulations from Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Paolo Gentiloni on the occasion of his re-appointment to this position in the Serbian government.

As a major strategic partner of Serbia, Italy will continue to provide full support to the process of integration of your country into the European Union in most fields, in order to achieve concrete results that will enable Serbia to progress on its European path, reads the congratulatory message of Minister Gentiloni.
The two officials also exchanged views on the current situation and developments in the region.
Dacic underlined that keeping peace and stability in the region is a priority for Serbia and expressed concern over the fact that this stability is jeopardised by actions of some countries.
He stressed that Serbia remains committed to the development of peace and stability in the region, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
