Dacic and Tanin exchanged views on the current situation in the southern Serbian province, the functioning of UNMIK, as well as the importance of this mission for further engagement in areas key to the survival of a normal and dignified life of Serbs and other non-Albanian communities in Kosovo.
They emphasised the importance of the Mission in the context of implementation of the agreements reached in the dialogue in Brussels, as well as the engagement of UNMIK on all matters of importance to the consistent implementation of the resolutions of the Security Council of the United Nations 1244.
Dacic and Tanin also emphasises the importance of unimpaired presence of UNMIK, considering the trust that the Serb and other non-Albanians have in the work of the Mission.
Dacic met with Tanin in the context of preparations for the meeting of the UN Security Council on the quarterly report on the work of the UN Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK), to be held on 25 August in New York, a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reads.
