Dacic invited to conference dedicated to strengthening capacities of OSCE

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic met today with German Ambassador to Serbia Axel Dittmann, who handed him an invitation for participation in the event to be organised by the German presidency of the OSCE during the 71st session of the UN General Assembly.

Dittmann said that the topic of the aforementioned event will be civilian crisis management and strengthening the capacity of the OSCE as an organisation under Chapter VIII of the UN Charter.
He also stressed the special role of the foreign ministers of the OSCE Troika, of which Serbia is a member, and expressed his expectation that Dacic will take part in this meeting.
At the same time, Dittmann showed interest in the participation of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister at the informal ministerial meeting of the OSCE, which will be held on 1 September in Potsdam.
Dacic confirmed his participation at the meeting in Potsdam, and pointed out that he expects it to be good preparation for the meeting of the Ministerial Council of the OSCE, which will be in December this year in Hamburg, according to a statement the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
