First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic met today with Special Advisor to the President of the United States Barack Obama and Director for Europe at the National Security Council Charles Kupchan.

Dacic during the meeting highlighted the great importance of tomorrow's visit of US Vice President Joseph Biden to Serbia in terms of improving the overall bilateral relations and the upward trend of political dialogue between the two countries.
He particularly emphasised the importance of the support of the United States in the process of European integration of Serbia and Brussels dialogue, and expressed hope that this trend will continue in the future.
The preservation of regional stability in the Western Balkans is an issue to which the United States and Serbia attach great importance. In this sense, the American side has been recognised and the constructive role of our country has been encouraged.
The two officials concluded that the economic cooperation between the two countries is very good, and that there is potential for its further development, primarily in the field of attracting new investments in Serbia.
The meeting was also attended by US Ambassador to Serbia Kyle Scott, a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reads.
