Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic met today with Ambassador of Iraq in Serbia Kasim Asker Hasan to discuss ways to improve economic cooperation and increase the volume of trade between the two countries.

Hasan also highlighted the interest of Iraq towards establishing cooperation in the field of information and communication technologies, as well as for the import of agricultural food products from Serbia, primarily flour, sunflower oil and sugar.
He noted that the Iraqi side is interested in cooperation in the field of health tourism and the arrival of tourists from Iraq in spas and health resorts in our country.
The interlocutors agreed that it would be of great importance for the development of economic relations between the two countries to hold a session of the mixed committee for economic and trade cooperation, which was last held 15 years ago.
