Dacic congratulated Slovakia on taking over presidency of the EU Council and wished success in achieving the priorities.
He expressed hope that the preoccupation of the European Union and its member states with the consequences of the British referendum will not significantly change the Union's enlargement policy.
The announcement of the opening of chapters 23 and 24 during this month, he said, is the recognition for all the efforts that our country has made in the process of European integration.
In accordance with the priorities of the Slovak presidency, one of which is the continuation of the enlargement policy, Dacic expressed the hope that by the end of 2016 conditions will be made for the opening of other chapters, especially Chapters 5, 20, 25, 26, and that Slovakia, together with us, will work to ensure that this ambitious plan becomes a reality.
The officials highlighted the interest of Serbia to participate in informal meetings organised by the Slovak presidency of the EU Council.
The officials also discussed the current situation of migration, as well as opportunities for specific projects within the framework of strengthening bilateral cooperation, which was assessed as very good by both sides.
