Visit of Xi Jinping to Serbia opportunity for boosting economic cooperation

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic announced today that during the forthcoming visit of President of China Xi Jinping to Belgrade, 20 agreements and protocols with that country will be signed.
Mihajlovic said in a show on Television Pink that, among other things, an agreement on the construction of a road section Surcin-Obrenovac will be signed, and the continuation of the modernisation of the Belgrade-Budapest railroad will be discussed.
Owing to this, she said, Serbia will create an environment in which it will be possible to employ local companies and show that it Serbia is an indispensable country.
She pointed out that Serbia is the only country in this part of Europe where China has decided to invest its capital, which shows that it has confidence in our country and is ready to continue and expand bilateral relations.
