During a tour of the works in this most visited Serbian border crossing Batrovci Mihajlovic announced a further six lanes for passenger traffic, i.e., a total of 18.
She noted that the modernisation, reconstruction and expansion of border crossing Batrovci began on 9 May, after more than 13 years.
We are completing Corridor 10, and it is important that this transition has a higher throughput, and that customs officers can do their job, said Mihajlovic, adding that the Building Directorate of Serbia together with the government of Serbia started the expansion of the pass, which is already evident.
Serbia is the shortest route between East and West, and only in July and August one million passenger vehicles cross the crossing Batrovci, and 370,000 trucks per year, she said.
