Strong upswing of bilateral relations with China

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic and Director of China's Development Research Centre (DRC) Li Wei met today to discuss bilateral relations and economic cooperation of the two countries.

Dacic presented Serbia's stance on “The Belt and Road” intercontinental initiative and economic growth strategy.
He expressed satisfaction over the strong upswing of bilateral relations with China and highlighted the importance that Serbia attaches to the forthcoming visit by Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Dacic noted that the meetings Li had had during his three-day stay in Belgrade were a very important part of preparations for the Chinese president's visit to Serbia.
Li Wei is at the helm of the Chinese government think-tank that formulates the national strategy for economic and social development.
