Connecting female entrepreneurs from Serbia, UAE

Deputy Prime Minister and President of the Coordination Body for Gender Equality Zorana Mihajlovic visited yesterday with a delegation of business women from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Vrdnik and a nearby ethno village.

Contacts were made with some of the leading Serbian female entrepreneurs, and this was an opportunity to present handicrafts, Serbian folklore and fashion show by famous domestic designer Igor Todorovic.

Female entrepreneurs from Dubai, who are for the first time in Serbia, were led by Raja Al Gurg, one of the most influential women in the Middle East according to magazine "Forbes".

Mihajlovic said that the visit of business women from Dubai opens a new chapter in cooperation between the two countries, which should be improved in the areas of health, education, tourism, spa centres, but also in agriculture and infrastructure.

Connecting female entrepreneurs from Serbia and the United Arab Emirates, who have proven themselves as leaders in their countries, opens the door for new joint projects to be implemented in our country, said Mihajlovic.

The business woman from Dubai also visited the nature reserve Zasavica and supported it with financial donations. The hosts gave them gifts, including donkey milk creams, for which this nature reserve known.

Representatives of the Council of Business Women from Dubai during their multi-day visit to Serbia participated in the business forum of female entrepreneurs from Serbia and the United Arab Emirates, held at the Palace of Serbia, according to a statement from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and President of the Coordination Body for Gender Equality.
