Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic and Assistant Director of USAID for Europe and Eurasia Thomas Melia agreed today that the cooperation between the Serbian government and this organisation has been excellent so far and expressed confidence that it will continue.

Mihajlovic said after the talks that her ministry has worked with the USAID on many projects and laws that helped create a better environment for investors, improve business conditions and position on the Doing Business list.
I believe that in the future we will be able to move on when talking about conditions for investing in Serbia, Mihajlovic stated.
Melia congratulated Serbia on the efficient electronic system for issuing building permits and emphasised that the USAID is satisfied with the implementation of the Law on planning and construction which allowed greater efficiency and transparency.
We are satisfied with the cooperation and we will continue it gladly, Melia added.
He also attended the presentation of the electronic system for issuing building permits that enabled the issuing process to be completed within seven days on average.
