Dacic told the media that Serbia must have a realistic and rational attitude towards the fact that it is possible that in the case of Kosovo even the Statute of UEFA is being violated, only in order to achieve promises of the sponsors of Kosovo's independence.
It is up to us to fight for the best position possible in that world, for new and old friends, for the correspondence of our and other people's interests and the consistency of our policy, he added, reiterating that Serbia will certainly not recognise Kosovo and that there will be no compromise on that matter.
Dacic said that the Football Association of Serbia has legal means to challenge this non-statutory and, obviously, political decision before the court.
He said that the sponsors of Kosovo's independence have not fully succeeded because 24 states out of 54 did not vote for the admission of Kosovo to UEFA, including even ten countries that did recognise Kosovo’s independence.
