Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic announced today that the world's biggest low-cost airline Ryanair will start flying to Serbia in November.
Speaking in a broadcast on Television Pink, the Minister said that an agreement will be signed in Nis today between the Airport "Constantine the Great" and Ryanair which, for starters, will have flights from Berlin to Nis two or three times a week.
According to her, this is great news for all citizens who will now have the opportunity to fly at low cost to the German capital, but also for Nis and southern Serbia which will benefit from passengers that this airline will bring.
Mihajlovic said that in the last two years the state has been working intensively on equipping the airport in Nis for use and now it can also be used for flights in the winter and generally in difficult weather conditions.
Mihajlovic also confirmed that everything is ready for Air Serbia’s direct flights to the United States and that the first flight to New York is scheduled for 23 June.
