Chinese interested in infrastructure projects

Belgrade, 14 April 2016

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic talked today with a delegation of China CEFC Energy Company and China Balkan Investment Company on the possibilities for new investments.

Mihajlovic said that good economic relations between Serbia and China can be upgraded through new joint ventures.

She especially singled out the Nis-Pristina-Merdare motorway, the remaining sections of the corridors, as well as the development of small airports in Serbia.

Representatives of the Chinese side pointed out that the company CEFC is among the 500 largest in the world and has a long-term strategic interest in the Serbian market in the field of transport and energy infrastructure, as well as in the future development of business activities in the region.
