Healthy environment strategic goal of Serbia

Belgrade, 14 April 2016

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic said today that environmental protection is one of the key areas in the negotiations with the EU, and stressed the importance of timely and high-quality projects in this sector.

Dacic participated in the donor conference “Green ideas” in Belgrade City Hall, which was launched in the framework of projects in the field of environmental protection, renewable energy and climate change, in line with the recently adopted Environmental programme for the city of Belgrade for the next ten years.

He pointed out that our country is doing all it can to implement projects in this field in the future, and warned that we need to have projects ready for the moment when the funding from European funds is provided.

The aim of today's conference is to create long-term partnerships between the City of Belgrade, the donor community and international partners on projects in the field of environment and energy.
