Preserving Serbian cultural heritage in Kosovo-Metohija

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic was in Kosovo-Metohija yesterday where he visited Serbian cultural heritage which is under the protection of UNESCO.

Dacic visited the Gracanica monastery, the Patriarchate of Pec and the church of Our Lady of Ljevis in Prizren.
He spoke with the sisterhood of the monastery of the Patriarchate of Pec, and in the Gracanica monastery he spoke with Bishop Teodosije.
The First Deputy Prime Minister said in Prizren that he did not come to Kosovo-Metohija in order to send negative messages related to the relations with Pristina.
Dacic noted that the religious and cultural heritage of the Serbian people in Kosovo-Metohija is a sensitive issue and that it requires solutions based on mutual agreement.
He added that there is interest in protecting their value, noting that in Kosovo-Metohija there are four Serbian monasteries enlisted as the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
